Muswell Hill Creatives Summer Market
Saturday 29 September - 10.30am-4.30pm
APPLY FOR A GUEST STALL
Muswell Hill Creatives (MHC) markets are becoming a regular fixture in St James's Square, Muswell Hill. Our first was held in November 2015 and in 2018 we are expanding to hold them four times a year in March, May, September and November.
We are looking for guest designer makers to join us for our Summer Market on SATURDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 10.30AM-4.30PM. (Stall priority given to those from Muswell Hill and surrounding areas).
Our markets attract an excellent passing trade from shoppers, cinema and restaurant goers, right in the heart of Muswell Hill. The success of previous markets has demonstrated a clear appetite in the area for buying high quality hand designed & made products from independents. Previous markets have included stalls selling jewellery, leather bags & accessories, prints, stationery, homewares, ceramics, textiles, clothing, childrenswear and millinery.
As a collective, we take great pride in our passion for quality design and craftsmanship and our markets are carefully curated to reflect that ethos. We are looking for designers/makers who share our passion and whose work is a good fit alongside that of the MHC members. (See terms & conditions on application form).
Cost: £95 for a 6ft x 29.5" (1.8m x 75cm) table under a gazebo provided.
The stall price includes publicity & event management, table and gazebo hire and Haringey Council Temporary Traders' Licence.
The market and the work of those participating will be actively promoted on social media, an image of each guest creative’s work will feature on the market’s flyer. The flyer is distributed in local venues and through doors on neighbouring streets. The local paper will be invited to attend the event.
All guest creatives are asked to actively promote the market and their participation on their social media, mailing lists etc.
All stallholders must be in possession of up-to-date Public Liability Insurance and must provide a 'passport' style photograph for Traders Licence application purposes.
Please email: firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
If you have not traded with Muswell Hill Creatives before, please supply 5 images of your work, preferably including an image of a stall where your work is displayed. Please send these directly to email@example.com when you submit your application form.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 9AM, MONDAY 16 JULY 2018
From previous guest traders:
"It was so great on Saturday. I really had a lovely day and really good sales... I really wish we could do that once a month!" November 2017
"Great market, with the location, set up, cost, customers who understand what designers create and want to buy and close to good coffee, not much more you can ask for really!” March 2018
"Before we had even got to our stalls the prearrangements and social media / publicity were fantastic. On the day there were minimal hassles as my table and gazebo were ready waiting for me. But best of all is the camaraderie amongst the makers and like minded creatives. I really enjoyed being part of the group and swapping tips. Moreover the standard of work is high and it felt like a quality event despite the weather! Can’t wait for the next one! Well done and thank you." March 2018
"The Muswell Hill Creatives are a great, diverse group of talented designer/makers. Each person brings something different and unique with work of a very high standard. As a collective they've always been welcoming and friendly with lots of advice and pointers. To be amongst like minded professionals in the creative field is so refreshing and inspiring!"
"I have been a guest stall holder with the Muswell Hill Creatives over the past year and each time the organisation and publicity have been fantastic. The organiser is very quick to respond via email to any queries that I have leading up to events and is supportive and on hand throughout the day when the market is on. On arrival at the market the gazebos and tables are already set up and there is a plan and list of essentials sent out beforehand so we all know where to set up and reminded what to bring. The market itself has a lovely local feel and the customers embrace and support the fact that the work is of a high quality and is all locally designed/handmade. I have met some lovely fellow makers and have sold well at each event and hope to join the group for more in the near future."
