Muswell Hill Creatives Winter Fair

We hoped to hold our Winter Fair on 28 November but then went into lockdown. The new date we are aiming for is Saturday 12 December, outdoors in St James Square, Muswell Hill. Given yesterday's news that we are moving back into Tiers, Haringey Council is waiting to hear on Thursday which Tier London is going into. They will then inform us if we can go ahead on the 12th. I need to get ready by re-grouping on applications. Please can you complete the attached form if you would like a stall (even if you applied back in July). I know some makers have since decided not to do any events pre-Christmas or may now have other commitments due to the date change. The Muswell Hill Christmas tree will be in situ by the 12th so space for stalls may be even more restricted depending on how Planet Organic organise their Winter outdoor seating. We will also be required to manage social distancing and Covid hygiene measures as we did in October including mask wearing and having hand sanitiser available. Eligibility Members of the Muswell Hill Creatives collective are guaranteed stalls. Guest makers will be confirmed based on the quality of their product, no direct conflict of interest with MHC members and how local they are to Muswell Hill. As this is a gift buying time of year, there will be emphasis on products that make great gifts. We do not have stalls selling hot food or drinks. Cancellation Please be aware that there is a risk of cancellation at last minute either due to the Covid situation or adverse weather. On this occasion, I will not be able to postpone to an alternative pre-Christmas date. With the required social distancing measures, we need to avoid people ending up huddled under gazebos sheltering from rain or wind. Needless to say, traders must not attend if they have any Covid symptoms or are isolating. Please make sure you read the cancellation T&Cs on the application form before submitting. Virtual Fair If we are unable to go ahead in person, we will go online with a Virtual Fair via our website, social media and mailing list for 24 hours from 10am on 12 December. I will be able to accommodate more guest makers in this instance. See more details in costs below. Stall costs Winter Fair in St James Square = £95 per stallholder Includes: Haringey Council traders licence; 6ft table under a gazebo shared with 2 other traders; and admin/publicity fee. You must be in possession of up-to-date public liability insurance to trade with us. Virtual Winter Fair = £15 per stallholder Cost includes the feature of 1 post per stallholder on our @n10creatives Instagram grid and 1 image and listing on our MHC website Fairs page. Up to 3 posts per stallholder will be shared across from your Instagram grid to our stories over the weekend. We may also set up some video chats during the weekend (tbc). Please select the Virtual Fair option in addition to the in person Fair if you would like to participate. APPLICATION DEADLINE: 5pm, FRIDAY 27 NOVEMBER I will need to move fast if we do get go ahead to gather Trader Licences and PL Insurance Certificates for the Council. If I am able to offer you a stall, please help by responding to information requests speedily! You will be invoiced on the point of your stall being confirmed (either in person or virtual). |
