Muswell Hill Creatives Make and Mend Festival 2023

Our next Make and Mend Festival is on Saturday 14 October 2023 from 2pm-5pm. Join us at the Festival after the FREE Lunchtime Concert in St Andrew's Church next door from 1.00pm-2.00pm.

At the Festival you'll find fabulous craft workshops to take part in, work on sale from local makers, sustainability advice, refill services and food and drink on sale - all making for great afternoon hang out.

Book a Workshop

Book a workshop in advance via Eventbrite to secure a place or drop-in on the day and see if there's still spaces. Each workshop has 8 places available. (Please note prices listed exclude Eventbrite fees for pre-booking).

Age suitability is stated. All children must be supervised by an adult (parent/carer/guardian) if they participate in a workshop.
Candlemaking

Knitwear Visible Mending

Linocut Printmaking

Age Suitability: adults (children 8+ may attend with their parent/guardian booking a space each).

Learn the basics of linocut printing. Create and carve your own designs using lino and then ink and print your carving ready to take home.

Discover the beauty of the ancient Japanese craft of Sashiko stitching on a tote bag to take home with you.

Wax Melt Making

Make two wax melt snap bars, using eco soy wax, adding colourful dyes, eco glitter, petals and seeds.

Shop From Local Makers

There will be beautiful work on sale made by selected local makers including some discounted stock.

There will be time to shop either side of your workshop or come just to shop and enjoy food, drink and more.

Come Along for Food & a Cuppa

Local vegan small business The Whole Bowl will be serving delicious savoury and sweet treats with tea & coffee from the kitchen throughout the afternoon.

Live More Sustainably

The People's Pantry's Ernie refill truck will be parked up outside St Andrews Church from 1.45pm-3.45pm so bring along your containers for refills.  

​Muswell Hill Sustainability Group will be joining us in St Andrew's Centre as part of their Green Open Homes season of events.

Past Festivals

Over 250 people came to shop, watch artisans at work and take part in arts and crafts workshops at our Make and Mend Festival on 18 March 2023. It was a hive of creative activity, an opportunity to hang out with friends and enjoy tea and cake in the lovely surroundings of St Andrews Church Hall on Alexandra Park Road in Muswell Hill, London.
We held our first Make and Mend Festival at Hornsey Parish Church Hall on Cranley Gardens in Muswell Hill.
